The Hive is a refuge designed as a post-conflict reconstruction strategy for displaced communities to stay while their original homes been rebuilt. The refuge is located next to the destroyed houses in El Fasher, Sudan.
The project addresses the urgent need for adaptable, community-based housing that can be easily assembled, dismantled, and reconfigured, with the use of local and easily sourced material.
The refuge is a growing communal system that supports healing, connection, and a sense of hope.
